About the brewery

VAUX has been a beloved name in Sunderland for almost 200 years. From the earliest incarnation of 'C. Vaux & Sons' in 1837 right through to the 1990s, the brewery was an important part of city life in Sunderland until its closure in 1999. Now reincarnated, this iconic brand has been striving, since its relaunch in 2019, to put Sunderland back on the beer map.

Welcome back Vaux Brewery to this superb well-balanced strong pale ale with floral & citrus tasting overtones & with a hazy appearance. The first Vaux beer that I have tasted this century bearing in mind that the Sunderland brewery originally closed down 25 years ago during the late 1990's.
