Chalking this up as interesting - getting similar sour taste to other reviewers and first instinct was 'off', second instinct that it was down to the old-style recipe. Agree with those suggesting this is probably what IPA used to taste like and that it is similar to Belgian styles. Not bad and I think worth a go - but the can would benefit from describing the taste (the reviews here show drinkers need reassuring) as well as the interesting stuff on origin. Not sessionable but don't be put off.

Didn't really enjoy it. Sharp with strange smell. Not to my taste.

Not a fan of sour tasting IPAs

This definitely has an olde worlde character. Was extremely lively from the can so be careful opening it! Once settled in the glass though it has a malty slightly sour almost lambic flavour with a little spice and tongue numbing from the hops. A nice historical throwback

With this you suspect this is how proper olde English beer used to taste ! A malty citrusy bitterness which is probably not for those who prefer modern style ipa . For me its just sublime!!!!!
