This Cornish interpretation of a traditional Belgian farmhouse ale is brewed with a blend of barley, wheat and oat malts, then gently spiced with ginger, lemon and lime zest. Sayzon has a hint of cinnamon and is fermented with a special strain of ‘saison’ yeast to deliver an assertive beer with a peppery spice and a refreshing citrus finish.

About the brewery

Fast forward 167 years and while traditional brewing techniques remain, innovation, passion and craftsmanship continue to evolve. Alongside St Austell Brewery’s well-known family of beer brands, including Tribute Cornish Pale Ale and Proper Job IPA, a calendar of new, individual brews – and Small Batch Brewery – firmly fixes the award-winning brewer at the forefront of the industry.

Ginger quite evident. Like a saison crossed with a ginger beer. Tasty.

Not my cup of tea and struggled to finish this one. Not what I want from St Austell, of whose beers I'm generally a fan
