Grand Cru Oak Aged Belgian Red
This is an aged Belgian red ale, which is ‘ripened quietly in oak barrels for two years’. It has an extremely pungent aroma of rich grapey fruit, with acidic notes, very much like a slightly sour red wine or possibly a gueuze. In the mouth it is slightly sweet, extremely acidic and fruity, with grapes and even cherries discernible, and very lively. Despite the sweetness it is not at all cloying, even thin, with little or no trace of malt. Finish is sharp and fruity.

Not really my taste not one I would pick voluntarily
strong taster - doesn't look the best out of the bottle but a very polished beer nevertheless
Really nice Belgian red, would ha8drinknit again
Absolutely fantastic - one of the nicest beers I've had for a very long time. this might not be to everyones taste but I loved it !
Superb. Just superb. I saved this one for the first evening in a new house, and it was a suitable treat. A special Belgian Red.
