About the brewery
Situated in the city with the second-largest Oktoberfest celebration in the world, Cincinnati-based Rhinegeist has embraced the city’s historic ties to beer. Although – somewhat confusingly – it doesn’t make German styles, those early Teutonic immigrants would no doubt have enjoyed the brewery’s meticulous US-style craft ales.

Explosive - quite literally! The can swelled up and white froth (the Geist) ouzel out with ectoplasmic force - such fun! Finally got a small sip, the rest had all escaped, and it seemed worthwhile… annoyingly it was still in date by a whole year!!
An Oktoberfest beer brewed under licence on Tyneside for Rhein Geist brewery in Ohio USA! Otherwise it is just an amber coloured Marzen style beer with a complex combination of bitter, malty & floral overtones.
