Paulaner Brauerei
Münchner Hell Munich Lager

A true classic of quintessential Munich and Bavaria. Clear and sparkling bright golden in the glass, crowned by a pure white head, it is usually drunk in the shade of a chestnut tree according to tradition. A beer which always goes down well: mild, elegant malts with a hint of sweetness and a soft hint of hops in the background. This is pure Bavarian life style!

About the brewery

Founded in 1634, Paulaner is a German brewery steeped in tradition and celebrated for its helles, dunkel and weissbier styles. Today, it’s just one of just six breweries in the world permitted to brew and serve beer at Munich’s annual Oktoberfest celebration, the most elaborate and celebrated of its kind. Only beer conforming to the Reinheitsgebot — the 506-year-old German Purity Law dictating that beer should only be brewed with water, yeast, malt and hops (no adjuncts, finings or preservatives) — and brewed within the city limits of Munich can be served at the Munich Oktoberfest. While so much about Paulaner’s identity is tied up in centuries-old traditions, it’s also a brewery that celebrates connection at its heart.
