Jitterbug Lager & Lime x Northern Monk

Wiper and True
Jitterbug Lager & Lime x Northern Monk

Our take on one of Mexico’s finest exports, the classic lager and lime. We’ve taken the base of our own house lager, brought flaked maize to the party for an extra crisp, clean finish and hopped with NZ variety Motueka which bursts with lime zing. A little twist of lime zest certainly helped finish things off.

No head and a bit hazy. Aroma is of sweet line. Tastes like an easy drinking Lager lime tops. Amazing.
I found this collaboration between Northern Monk of Leeds with Wiper And True of Bristol to be nothing more than an alcoholic version of a Top Deck Lime & Lager Shandy from the 1970's! Clean & light appearance with a slightly citrus aftertaste.
It is what is supposed to be, Mexican Lager. Youtube for full reaction
Was reasonably ok. Enjoyed a couple, but wouldn't buy again.
One thing I'm learning in this box is that a lot of beers I haven't tried for years carry a taste of nostalgia. Lager and Lime. Who'd 'uv thunk it? Lager and Lime. Not since I was in short trousers. But Still, a real memory kick. "I'm just a Jitterbug Boyyyyy"
