About the brewery
Created in Lyon in 1997 by three graduates fresh out of university, Ninkasi was one of the pioneers of the craft beer movement in France. The production site is now located in an old textile mill in Tarare, where the water is known for its purity and softness, making it ideal for brewing. A distillery was installed in 2015 and Ninkasi now also produces its own single malt whisky, gin and vodka.

Eye: golden/amber. Nose: grassy, herbal, citrus zest. Taste: slightly chewy, sweet, honey-like. grass and herb notes persist. mature fruit like plum or nectarine. well-balanced, yummy!
Fruity, bitter, malty and sweet in quick succession. Hovering on the edge of a higher rating.
Really didn't expect to like this so much. Genuinely interesting flavours. Still an IPA but with a definite french personality. More like this please!
This was the surprise hit of the pack, I loved it!!
