About the brewery

Using pure water from the Ardennes, high-quality ingredients and the know-how of father and sons William, Tom and Jonas, Brasserie de Bellevaux produces a range of regional classics with passion and care. Based in Malmedy, in the Eastern Cantons of Belgium, the brewery masterfully blends modernity with tradition in the form of its contemporary brewhouse, and small farmhouse in which the brewery is based. Brasserie de Bellevaux describes its beer as "living" beer, which is high ABV and slightly cloudy thanks to being neither filtered nor pasteurised.

Deceptively smooth tasting red-brown coloured beer from Brasserie de Bellevaux located in Malmedy near the German border. Although only with a strength of 5% ALC it appears to be a weaker version of their bottled 6.8% ALC Brown Beer. Smooth tasting red-brown beer with a sweetish citrus after taste that is deceptively smooth at the first sip but becomes more complicated in a later taste towards the end of glass.
Very good tasting double. Only 5% but to me that made it more drinkable.
I quite liked this one, dark and fairly malty. Could have done with a bit more of a kick though.
