About the winery

Borgovenna, established in 2021 near the Venna river, is part of a regional winemaking cooperative known for its environmental and ethical commitments. The winery, surrounded by a picturesque landscape, cultivates both native and international grape varieties, including Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino, Passerina, Chardonnay, Merlot, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Grigio. Its wines encapsulate the historical and natural essence of the region.

Merlot is never a favourite grape of mine; and, as this wine is pre-selected for me I am encouraged to try it. It was definitely enjoyable, balanced and a good example of what merlot can do.
