Crafted from 85% Rkatsiteli and 15% Mtsvane Kakhuri, this is a beautifully expressive wine that exemplifies the unique terroir of this historic Georgian region. The cool breezes from the nearby Caucasus Mountains and the calcareous soils lend this wine its vibrant acidity and minerality, balancing the natural fruit richness. The wine greets the nose with a soft and mellow bouquet, where fresh citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit interweave with a touch of tropical fruit. As it opens up, a subtle herbal undertone emerges, adding complexity to the aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine shows a lovely weight and texture, striking a fine balance between body and liveliness. Initial flavours of sweet yellow fruits take centre stage, followed by red apple and a lively citrusy acidity. The wine finishes dry, with a refreshing acidity and hints of herbs, leaving a lingering impression of citrus and stone fruit.
