Pours dark copper with an off white head. Hazy to opaque due to high wheat content (50% of the grist). On the nose cloves and banana dominate, with a slight aroma of caramel and bread / dough. On the taste there are more grain and bread flavours, with a light sweetness and medium body. Lovely beer to have on a cold spring evening!

Ingredients: Water, Barley, Wheat, Oats, Hops, Yeast. For allergens see ingredients in bold.

About the brewery

Founded in 2015, 71 Brewing is reviving the lost art of brewing in Scotland's fourth city Dundee. Crafting crisp lagers and seasonal beers inspired by traditional European classics and progressive new world flavours. Their goal is to make beers packed with flavour and character, both sessionable and familiar, funky and weird, but most importantly, with balance and consistency.

Used this to cook a smoked gammon joint. Complemented well as the smoked gammon tasted less salty and a malty caramel taste.

Feels neither one thing or the other, a little bit thin for me with a bitter aftertaste.
