About the brewery
Pilot founders Matt Johnson and Patrick Jones met while studying Brewing & Distilling at Heriot-Watt University in 2012. A shared view that there was something different to be done in brewing led to home-brewing together, which eventually led to buying a second-hand brewhouse and moving to the heart of cosmopolitan Leith, commencing brewing right at the end of 2013.

A bit too sweet for me. I'm finding stouts a bit hit and miss at the moment. Perhaps it's me! Glad I tried it though (and I certainly didn't chuck it away!).
I have the impression this beer has been standing in my kitchen for a long time, but it was very tasty : good body (because of ABV?) and balanced, something even people who don´t like stout can appreciate.
