A fine and well-made example of this undervalued Italian variety - created by one of the very finest wineries in Italy, Medici Ermete. The fine, delicately aromatic nose has beguiling aromas of quince, pear, yellow flower and dried herbs. The palate is soft and round with decent weight, stone fruit, lime and floral character.

Take this extremely popular variety to the considerably warmer climate of Emilia-Romagna and the results are fantastic! Here we have a riper, sweeter nose full of nectarines, honey, raw almond and white pepper aromatics. On the palate, it shows ripe fruit and lightly nutty flavours balanced by crisp, lemony acidity. Good weight and texture through to the finish. Excellent with seafood risottos, baked fish and cold white meats.
