Modern golden ale with a very simple grain bill that lets the heritage malt shine, with a touch of toffee and caramel notes from the Cara Gold malts and traditional hops to add some background flavour. Clear golden yellow in colour, with a medium carbonation level to give this beer a balanced, yet lively palate.

This beer incorporates ingredients sourced from within Europe. Malts from three different countries create a light amber, slight malty and biscuity flavour and a medium body with a light, residually sweet finish. As a showcase to new world European hops, Mandarina Bavaria, UK Cascade and Endeavour have been used to create flavours of orange, grapefruit and light herbal notes. EXP 17/04/2024

Inspired by some of Northern Monk's favourite German examples of the style, this Great Northern Lager brings the soft, golden malt base of a classic Helles coupled with a bright floral, lemon balm hop character and lingering bitterness from the use of US Loral hops. Loral delivers the delicate and herbal flavours we expect from a lager but with an extra twist of citrus and pine to deliver just that little extra punch as you’d expect from Northern Monk.
